Urinetown: The Musical
By Mark
Hollman and Greg Kotis
Directed by
Katie Rodda and Choreographed by Kristin Arcidiacono
Musical
Direction by Michael Farley
(Yeah,
we know, it’s a terrible title.) When a water shortage has led to a
government-enforced ban on private toilets, the citizens must use public
amenities, regulated by a single evil company that charges inflated fees for people
to take care of their most basic need. Hero Bobby Strong leads a revolution to
overtake the evil empire and allow everyone to be able to pee freely. Urinetown is a musical satire of the
legal system, capitalism, bureaucracy, and musical theatre itself.
Performance
dates: April 17 – 26 | Rehearsals will be held M-Th, 3:30 – 6:30
