Congratulations to the New Play Festival

The New Play Festival wrapped last weekend, and it was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who participated: the actors, playwrights, designers, directors, and audience members!

Do you have an idea for a play? Want to explore it, and maybe have it produced in the 2019 festival? Consider taking Matthew Salazar-Thompson's Playwriting class in Fall 2018. Keep checking the blog for more information.

On Sunday, March 11, Dr. Judy Bauerlein from CSU San Marcos attended the matinee performance of the Festival of New Plays. She was here as a representative from KCACTF (Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival) providing feedback, and her response was terrific!

Here's a picture of the talk-back:
Thank you, Dr. Bauerlein, for being here!

Want to see the New Play Festival for free?

Sign up to usher! Outside of C105 is a sign-up sheet. See the plays once or as many times as you want.

It's easy-peasy: just arrive at the Black Box at 7:00 on Friday and Saturdays or 1:00 on Sundays. Check in with the Box Office Manager or professor in charge. Hand out programs, answer questions, and make sure the theatre is clean before you leave.

Dress semi-dressy (no torn clothing or shirts with writing on them) and leave your cell phones in your pockets. That's it! Save $10!
