Ashley Kobza teaches DRAM 103, Acting for the Non-Major, and is the director of the spring production of Almost, Maine.
Ashley Kobza is teaching artist specializing in physical
theatre, comedy, and the creation of new works.
She graduated in 2012 with a Master of Fine Arts in Acting and New Work
from The Ohio State University. She has also trained extensively with the Royal
Shakespeare Company in Stratford, Dell Arte International in Blue Lake, and
both IO and Second City in Chicago.
As
teacher Ashley employs power of play and laughter to inspire vulnerability and
risk taking in the classroom. In DRAM
103 students can expect to dive head first into the world of performance
including: improvisation, beginning script analysis, performance art, and
creating new works both alone and within an ensemble.
We are lucky to have Ashley on our faculty!
Auditions for Almost, Maine and the Festival of New Works is Thursday, January 28 at 6:00 in the Saville Theatre. Prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue.
