Urinetown: The Musical
By Mark Hollman and Greg Kotis
Directed by Katie Rodda and Choreographed by Kristin Arcidiacono
Musical Direction by Michael Farley

(Yeah, we know, it’s a terrible title.) When a water shortage has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets, the citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single evil company that charges inflated fees for people to take care of their most basic need. Hero Bobby Strong leads a revolution to overtake the evil empire and allow everyone to be able to pee freely. Urinetown is a musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, bureaucracy, and musical theatre itself.
Performance dates: April 17 – 26 | Rehearsals will be held M-Th, 3:30 – 6:30

Upcoming master class

Email from San Diego Music Theatre:

John Hemphill is currently on the Dear Evan Hansen National Tour, playing Larry Murphy, and he will be holding a master class through San Diego Music Theatre.

John will be coming in this Saturday, January 11, from 10-12. He will be providing feedback for 10 students’ 32 bar audition songs! We have a few spots left for students to sing and get feedback! We also have spots open for those students or parents who would like to come to the master class and observe, rather than perform.

I’ve attached a graphic with all the information you’ll need for this amazing master class! If you need any more information, please feel free to visit our website at www.sdmt.org/academy or reach out to me directly at academy@sdmt.org! We look forward to hopefully having your students come and join us for a wonderful master class!

Thank you!
