Free tickets to Blue/Orange at the 10th Avenue Playhouse

Hi Hello Hi,

I hope your week is off to a great start. My name is Kian Kline-Chilton, I'm a director here in town.

I am very excited to be currently working on Joe Penhall’s Olivier-Award winning sardonic comedy, Blue Orange, produced by Fenix Theatre Collective and I would love to personally invite you to join us for the show.

BLUE/ORANGE brings audiences into a modern psychiatric hospital in London, where a ferocious contest of wills is occurring between two doctors and a young black patient, Christopher. It’s day 28 of his detention and he wants out, yet he thinks oranges are blue and a Ugandan dictator is his father. His doctor, Bruce, says keep him in and he’s not stable. But the senior consultant, Robert, believes that Christopher’s problems are ethnocentric and he needs to go back to his “community”. And yet the entire time we wonder, who is actually in charge of fate and is anyone actually right in their own mind. Biting, ambiguous and hilarious - this play presents a crucial and urgent depiction of race, mental health and power.

The show begins performances tomorrow and runs through April 16th.  It’s a one-of-a-kind experience you don’t want to miss!

You can reserve tickets here: Blue/OrangeFenix is about making theatre accessible so the tickets are free. If you want to leave a donation, however much you want to give, you can and enjoy the show. It's really important to me that students are able to see theatre so please share with them!

It’s been an exciting process, I'm really looking forward to sharing this.I hope that you are able to come.

Best,

Kian Kline-Chilton
