Meet the faculty: Introducing Jeannie Galioto!

Jeannie Galioto teaches Beginning Costuming and will design the costumes for the Festival of New Plays and Almost, Maine.

Ms. Galioto has an MFA in Costume Design and has been a freelance costume designer for twenty-five years. Credits include productions for the San Diego Repertory Theatre, Diversionary Theatre (where she won a Patte award for Best Costume Design), The Guthrie Lab, Ion Theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre, Moxie Theatre, Youth Theatre Northwest, and Shakespeare in the Park to name a few. She was an invited guest speaker at The Costume Colloquium in Florence, Italy and she was the costume design assistant for the multiple Tony award winning show Memphis. In addition to freelance designing, she has taught at The Art Institute, University of San Diego, San Diego State University, University of California Irvine, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and Palomar College. She has also worked with the Costume Design graduate program at The University of California San Diego. A few career highlights include creating the hats for the film Drop Dead Gorgeous and working on costumes for the band, Slipknot.
