TEE, she/her, from China, over this fucking school, plays both of the children. Who barely speak.  Ugh.

RILEY,  could really be any gender, the director! Ok?! 

MARION, she/her, costume designer, also playing the nanny. 

ELLE, she/her, playing Kristine and making the props. 

JAMES, he/him, into conspiracy theories. Playing Dr. Rank.

THE MAKING OF HOMEROOM HEARTBREAK
A documentary of how the popular boy band got started
and their first hit video was filmed.
We are looking to cast the following
roles
TOMMY – 30s to 40s music producer whose worked with all the
greats from the Stones to JZ to Gaga. (all ethnicities)
ROB – 40s Sings & dances, average guy who dreams of being in a
boy band. (all ethnicities)
NOR-MON – 20s Assistant to the director. He handles fending off
fans, getting lattes, walking the dog, etc. (all ethnicities)
Films March 9th at the Recording Studio C208
There will be 1 rehearsal day as well
Copy, IMDB credit and food provided.
It will be a day of fun and creativity

KCACTF (Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival) has ended, and we're headed back to San Diego.

Although McKenna and Lizette did not progress out of the preliminary round in the Irene Ryan Competition, they all had a great experience. The students saw plays, attended workshops and panel discussions, and apparently there was karaoke involved. 

City College will be participating in KCACTF next year (at Fullerton, CA), and we look forward to greater involvement in this program. To learn more, go here.

City College represents at KCACTF!

Five students from City College are attending the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Los Angeles!

Lizette Hernandez Alonso, Devin McKenna, Omar Ramos, Carlos Silva, and Christian Sin are participating in this festival. They have been attending workshops, watching performances of full-length plays, and this afternoon, McKenna and Lizette will compete in the Irene Ryan Scholarship competition with their scene partners, Carlos and Omar.

New Play Festial Cast List

After consultation with the directors of the Heathers The Musical, we have cast New Play Festival Thank you for your patience. Please know that casting is a very difficult process, made harder by the amount of dedication and talent in the room yesterday.

The first rehearsal is Tuesday, February 5 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in the Blackbox Theatre - AH 318. This is a mandatory rehearsal for ALL cast. We will be giving out scripts, discuss the direction of the festival, meet with your director about scheduling and we will implimenting add codes.

Six Characters in Search of An Author Callback List

Hello Everyone-

The callbacks for Six Characters will be held on Feb 21st at USD at 8pm.

Rehearsals begin March 19th with performances on May 10,11 and 12.

Rehearsals will be Tues-Fri  until the final week before opening.
There is no rehearsal on Friday before Easter weekend.

It is possible to perform in the One Act Festival AND Six Characters

I am looking for 5 or 6 actors from City College.

To be clear, the title of the play will change as the play is an adaptation-
Lily Padilla an up and coming nationally recognized playwright is writing the adaptation.
(Look her up! She is amazing!)

When the script is available, I will send out sides for you to read.

As we stated at the audition-  Actors will need to find transportation to USD.  HOWEVER, I will be active in ensuring that actors can get to rehearsal and home.
