Huge CONGRATULATIONS to the cast and crew of The Vagina Monologues

On Friday, February 23, students Ashleigh Bodie and Jessica Bravo, with Quike Moreno (above), produced and directed Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues at the Saville Theatre. The play went off without a hitch, and it was very well-attended. Funds were raised for Generate Hope, a non-profit organization that works with women who have been involved in sex-trafficking, a huge problem in San Diego.

The audience members were taken on a ride that was riotous, heartbreaking, sad, naughty, and above all, empowering. In the age of #metoo, this a welcome addition to the offerings at City College.

Rocky Horror field trip!

On Saturday night, cast members from City College's production of The Rocky Horror Show went to the Ken Cinema to see the movie, complete with audience participation!

Please read this post carefully—there is a lot of information on it.

If your name appears on this list, please come to callbacks tomorrow afternoon, Friday, February 2, from 4:00 – 7:00 in the Saville Theatre. Wear clothes you can move in and dance shoes (jazz or character shoes). If you don’t have dance shoes, please wear something like Keds; no big, clunky sneakers. If you have tap shoes, bring them as well.

We will also be singing songs from the show.

If you have a conflict or will not be able attend any or all of the callbacks, you must email Katie Rodda at krodda@sdccd.edu ASAP. If I don’t hear from you, I will assume that you are going to attend.
